Yes, in the Hebrew Bible, God designates the Persian King Cyrus the Great as His "messiah" (anointed one) for his role in allowing the Israelites to return from Babylon and rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem. The term "messiah" means "anointed" and can refer to any person appointed or chosen by God for a specific task, not just the ultimate Israelite redeemer. Cyrus is the only foreigner identified as a messiah in the Bible for this specific historical act, which fulfilled prophecy

According to the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God, those who accept the gift of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are His children

Jesus's station as the ultimate messiah is higher than a prophet of god

Ok.

For us, the highest station is prophethood and Jesus is a prophet.

Yes, he is the Messiah, as well as a Prophet.

So was King David, a Messiah and a Prophet.

That is debatable...but a messiah was to descend from King David

King David was a prophet.

King David was a messiah.

Which one debatable?

Kind David was not a messiah because the messiah is supposed to be a future leader from his descendants

King David was called a messiah many times in the Bible.

Yes .he was the divine chosen king but the messiah is only specifically for Jesus who fulfilled the messianic prophecies

I've no doubt that Jesus is a messiah and that he was prophesied.

The Bible repeatedly states that King David was also a messiah, but you said he was not a messiah. So who is right? The Bible or you?

That is why I say it is debatable..In Christian interpretation, David is considered a forerunner or ancestor of Jesus, the true Messiah.

I agree. Jesus, pbuh, is the final messiah.

BUT.. Jesus hasn't been anointed yet. That means he is still not yet the king of the Israelites. That will happen in his 2nd coming.

Wallahu 'alam.

Jesus was anointed multiple times: the Holy Spirit descended on him at his baptism, and a woman poured expensive oil on his feet and head as a symbolic act of coronation. The act of anointing in the Bible is a significant ritual, often performed on kings and priests, symbolizing God's selection and empowerment for a specific purpose. The phrase "anointed one"(Messiah) directly refers to this divine appointment.
