Unfortunately for Russians, Ukrainians spotted this large-scale activity already from start, they deliberate now stop Russian master plan. Geolocated shows airstrike recently by striking a crossing that engineers preparing over the Zherebets River near Balka Zhuravka. using airstrikes that destroy Russian bridging efforts, each (two) bombs double damage to ensure successful hit, GBU-39 air-launched bombs used show incredible resistance to Russian GPS jamming, a total of 5-bridges were hit, completely destroyed. Same time Ukrainian FPV drone are used striking Russian tanks as moving up their remaining reserves, most notably scoring a 100% hit on a modern T-90M Proryv tank near village of Terny.
Unfortunately for Russians, Ukrainian sent reinforcements strengthened their position, as new tube artillery brigade recently add help 3rd Army Corps, the 52nd Separate Artillery Brigade, publicized through volunteer fund raising & unit announcements added. Notably, unit sports domestically produced Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems, alongside other 152-155 millimeter artillery. This places significantly more sustained firepower directly to Li-man sector to engage enemy, rd, nodes, & staging areas repeatedly & accurately, while moving away be4 being hit by Russian counter battery strikes. Since reinforcements arrived, Ukrainian artillery has been busy, showing of complete fire control confirm coordinated artillery missions against enemy ground lines of communication bridging works & rear-area reserves. Geolocated footage shows towed and self-propelled guns firing in registered missions, followed by observable secondary explosions on targeted crossings and Russian vehicle concentrations.
The combined effect is immediate, as even Russian engineers and Russian reserve armor is eliminated or dispersed be4 it can mass.
Operationally shifts dynamics two decisive ways: firstly, range & volume of Ukrainian tube artillery cover full depth of enemy crossing sites, meaning no longer rely solely on air or FPV strikes to stop Russian bridge-building, assault preparations, 2nd, the engagement chain drastically shortened reconnaissance drones works with vehicle concentrations several km back, & new plentiful artillery crews deliver devastating fire while follow-up drones or artillery strikes exploit to finish off what remains. Result enemy large armored thrust planned by Russians to reach Li-man is being disassembled , be4 they can even consider launching attack.
Overall, concentrating of new 3rd Army Corps. Ukrainian predictable series of easy targets. Those Russian bridging assets'll be forced to choose between finishing crossings under constant fire or disperse with nocturnal methods that sacrifice cohesion needed for a rapid breakthrough. By contrast, Ukraine’s layered interdiction, combining air and FPV strikes with persistent tube artillery fires and targeted air strikes, turns approach roads and river crossings into kill zones rather than simple avenues of advance. If this pattern holds, Li-man will be defended in depth, town itself will remain protected surrounding by pre-designated fire zones and zeroed in highly mobile...

U.S. & European countries are pressuring Greece not to sell some of 25 Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine, Greek outlet Ekathimerini reported on this. Trump demand Greece to more than just a symbolic contribution, primarily coming from U S, France, & Eastern European countries. In particular, U.S. is encouraging Greece to purchase more American weapons systems through Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
If Greece decides to move forward with plan, according to the outlet, seems unlikely, it would sell Mirage 2000-5 jets to intermediaries such as to U.S., France, and Germany, as well as to smaller countries like the Czech Republic and Estonia. The latter, one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters, has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring some of the aircraft, the report notes. These intermediaries then either transfer jets to Ukraine or provide it with other aircraft.
Technical support for the Mirage 2000-5 is scheduled to end in 2027, prompting Greece to explore options for offloading its older aircraft. However, negotiations with India over a potential sale have reached a deadlock, and no other Balkan countries have shown interest.
Greece is also in talks with France about purchasing an additional 6 to 12 Rafale jets and is negotiating for a lower price in exchange for selling part of its Mirage 2000-5 fleet. Noted: The Greece operate a wide variety of aircraft types like F-4, Mirage 2000-5, F-16 Block 30, F-16 Block 50, F-16 Block 52, F-16 Block 70, & Rafale. We can't continue down this path. As F-4s need to be retired, if possible, while Mirage 2000-5 is an extremely capable aircraft & it can be sold. The F-16 Block 30s should also be sold. Believe we will be able to sell both Mirage 2000-5 & F-16s,” Dendias said, pointing to the enormous costs of maintaining such a diverse fleet.

Here, Ukrainian forces finally exposed a major concentration of North Korean artillery systems being pushed toward the front lines in support of Russian operations. Seizing the opportunity, Ukrainians immediately launched a relentless strike campaign, demolishing the North Korean guns one after another before they could shift the tide.
After experiencing Russian artillery fire near their positions, Ukrainian drone operators went on the search to locate the enemy units responsible for it. Through careful surveillance, they managed to discover several North Korean Koksan self-propelled artillery guns responsible for the fire on their positions. Once the location of the Koksan guns was confirmed, Ukrainian kamikaze drones and drone-dropped munitions dismantled their operating bases, and gun after gun was quickly targeted and silenced. As a result, Ukrainian drone operators from the 412th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment off the bat obliterated four North Korean 170 millimeter Koksan self-propelled guns in a single operation.
At Li-man, the Russian spearhead over the Zherebets river stretches too deep for conventional guns to provide fire support, but too narrow to safeguard any artillery if it’s moved forward into range. Therefore, Russians deployed North Korean Koksan guns with a range of 40 to 60 kilometers. Analysts estimate Russia received around 120 Koksans from North Korea since late 2024, but with losses accelerating and maintenance bottlenecks mounting, their battlefield life expectancy is shrinking fast. Just as the 2S7 Pion disappeared under relentless attrition, the Koksan too looks destined for extinction. As Ukraine perfects its hunt, Russian assaults will once again be left without the long-range fire support they desperately need.

At 1:47 AM local time, six Ukrainian UJ‑26 “Beaver” drones quietly cross into Russian airspace over Rostov Oblast at just 150 feet altitude.
Their lead pilot expects a routine mission, but history is about to unfold. Facing the formidable Krasukha‑4 electronic‑warfare dome (capable of jamming radars & GPS from up to 300 km) drones switch to inertial navigation when GPS signals vanish. Harsh winds & rain add complexity, concealment: weather clutter helps mask drones on radar. Simultaneously, Russian Repellent‑1 system attempts to hijack drone control, but Ukrainian frequency‑hopping links laugh off interference, flight then splits: three drones thread radar gates toward a power substation, 3 more follow terrain masking to Salsk. At the substation, ZU‑23‑2 guns open fire, but planners bait the defenders with a decoy, allowing others to strike a transformer from flank angles and cripple grid. As power collapses, a Pantsir-S1 battery loses ops radar, & the southern group exploits the blackout to overfly Salsk and strike a military train.

Kyiv Independent said Ukraine liberating territory & inflicting losses step by step on Russian forces, the reported on Oct. 7.
in Dnipropterovsk: The 141st Mechanized Brigade carried out a successful assault in Sichneve in eastern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Shkval ("squall") assault unit "eliminated" 50 Russian troops in battle, eight others were taken prisoner, the brigade said on its Telegram channel.
Unit published footage of engagement, showing Ukrainian troops advancing to clearing out Russian positions with grenades & rifle fire, taking Russian captives, & displaying Ukrainian banners.
Sichneve lies at Dnipropetrovsk Oblast's administrative border with Donetsk Oblast, which is the focal point of Russian offensive operations in Ukraine. Ukrainian monitoring group DeepState indicates that Sichneve, also known in Russian as Yanvarske, is mostly located within the contested "gray zone," with surrounding areas held by Russian forces. We are not only holding defense but confidently moving forward, liberating our territories," the statement continued.
Russia has broken into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a previously unoccupied region of Ukraine, as part of its summer offensive. In late August, battlefield monitors reported Russian forces had seized villages for first time. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi described the situation near border of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts as tense during a meeting with journalists on Sept. 25, attended by Kyiv Independent. He claimed Ukrainian forces had stopped a Russian attempt to advance. DeepState has reported Russia managed to seize a few settlements near Dnipropetrovsk Oblast's eastern near borders steadily advancing forward in multiple directions.n their summer offensive, Ukraine reportedly launched "counter offensive ops" & at least 7 settlements were retaken during these attacks, President Zelensky said in September.

Ukraine has unveiled a new version of its Neptune cruise missile, which added fuel tank ‘bulges’ for increased range. The missile looks to be distinct from extended-range Long Neptune derivative, imagery of which first emerged earlier this year. Originally designed as an anti-ship weapon, Neptune family has now become a key means for Ukraine to launch strikes at targets on land inside Russian territory.
Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s defense minister, shared a picture of the new Neptune variant, seen at the top of this story, on social media today in relation to a recent visit by Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene and other Western dignitaries. Other domestically developed weapon systems that Ukrainian authorities have showcased before, including the Peklo ‘missile drone’ and a Magura-7 uncrewed surface vessel (USV) armed with R-73 anti-air missiles, were also put on display for the delegation.

A train carrying military cargo derailed in Russia's Leningrad Oblast following an explosion early on Oct. 7, a source in Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) told the Kyiv Independent. The blast occurred on the Stroganovo–Mshinskaya railway section, causing the locomotive and several wagons to derail, according to the source. The operation was reportedly carried out by local partisans, temporarily paralyzing train traffic between St. Petersburg and Pskov. Rssian Railways said in a statement that traffic on the section was suspended due to "technical reasons," while cargo and passenger trains were being rerouted with several-hour delays. Russian emergency services were working to clear the tracks, though access to photos and videos from the site remains restricted due to an internet blackout in the area, according to HUR.
"These special operations reduce Russia's logistical and military capabilities, as Russian Railways form the backbone of the army's logistics and are a major financial donor to the 'war budget,'" the HUR source said. The Kyiv Independent con't independently verify the info, in September, HUR and Ukraine's Special Operations Forces carried out what the intelligence agency described as a "uniquely complex" operation that halted traffic on the Oryol–Kursk railway line in Russia, killing two members of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia). In a separate incident the following night, a blast targeted Saint Petersburg–Pskov line near the same Stroganovo–Mshinskaya section, derailing a locomotive and destroying 15 fuel tankers, according to HUR. Ukrainian forces and pro-Ukrainian partisans have repeatedly targeted Russian railway & energy infrastructure in sabotage operations intended to disrupt Russia's ability to supply its forces with fuel, ammunition, and personnel

Facility is Crimea region’s biggest oil storage transshipment hub, Russian land, naval & airforces mostly important to army. Feodosia fuel tank farm is also the primary wholesale hub site for sales of diesel & gasoline to Crimea’s civilian economy.

News from the Pokrovsk direction.
Here, Brazilian soldiers from the 2nd International Legion have been deployed to finish off the remnants of the Russian breakthrough attempt towards Dobropillia. Gaining extensive combat experience during the intense defense of the Donetsk region, these volunteers are now using this to eliminate the remaining enemy pockets of trapped soldiers.
The Pokrovsk front has become the latest battlefield where Ukraine’s 2nd International Legion, partly redeployed from Zaporizhia and Chasiv Yar, is playing a decisive role. Specializing in assault operations, small-unit raids, drone reconnaissance, and counter-sabotage, the Legion was sent to stabilize and clear villages on the flanks of Pokrovsk. With fighting fluid and Russian infiltrations continuing, reports confirm Legion units engaging enemy groups, raising the Ukrainian flag in newly secured areas, and reinforcing frontline advances. Operating as highly mobile infantry supported by drones, the unit provides Ukrainian commanders with a flexible force capable of reacting quickly to threats, while at the same time launching raids that unsettle Russian forces already suffering from enormous losses.
Among the most notable groups within the 2nd Legion are Brazilian volunteers. Brazil is home to a Ukrainian diaspora of roughly 600,000 people, many living in the Parana state. For some, cultural roots provide the motivation to join; for others, anti-communist convictions or personal outrage at the Russian invasion drive them. With many being veterans of Brazil’s military or police forces, bringing specialized skills in small-unit tactics, reconnaissance, and urban combat.
In Pokrovsk, where Russian assaults often rely on infiltration and poorly coordinated pushes, Brazilian fighters are well-suited to counter them. By clearing Russian infiltrators from villages near Pokrovsk and stabilizing threatened flanks, they contribute directly to the broader Ukrainian plan of encircling and eliminating Russian forces that have struggled for months to make progress in this sector. Brazilian actions on the flanks of Pokrovsk exemplify the unit’s mission: clear infiltration groups, secure villages, and provide rapid, precise, small-unit power where it is needed most.
Around Pokrovsk, the 2nd International Legion’s Brazilian contingent has demonstrated how their jungle-honed skills transfer seamlessly into Ukraine’s contested forests and villages. One video shows them advancing quietly through dense woodland on a reconnaissance mission, using their natural ability to move unseen, camouflage effectively, and set ambushes. Such expertise allows them to surprise Russian troops, capture prisoners, or eliminate threats before they can endanger larger Ukrainian formations. Their precision reduces risks for accompanying units and speeds up the clearing of hostile positions, as proved by numerous released videos.
Equally important is their role in urban fighting when clearing entrenched Russians from basements and buildings with coordination and discipline. Drone surveillance enhances their situational awareness, while cooperation with Ukrainian commanders ensures they strike at exactly the right time. Another recording highlights this synergy, as a patrol unexpectedly encountered a Russian soldier hidden in a shelter. The enemy attempted to raise his weapon, but the Brazilians reacted instantly, neutralizing him before he could fire.
Despite Russian information campaigns to dismiss volunteers as mercenaries, Brazil’s contribution shows otherwise. Many fighters have turned down safer options at home, traveling thousands of kilometers and accepting the risks of Ukraine’s hardest battles. There is, in fact, a constant waitlist of Brazilians applying to join, and up to 400 volunteers await document processing at a single time, seeking places not only in the 2nd International Legion but also in other Ukrainian formations with large Brazilian contingents.
Overall, the Brazilian volunteers of the 2nd International Legion now helping clear the flanks of Pokrovsk represent a powerful combination of principles, experience, and courage. Their integration into Ukrainian operations is not only disrupting Russian encirclement attempts but also serving as a vivid example of international solidarity. While Russian commanders continue to throw men and equipment into the Pokrovsk meat grinder, Brazilians and other foreign volunteers stand firm, proving that Ukraine’s struggle has become a cause people are willing to fight for.
