Spokesperson admitted only "some minor successes" by Russia. "Russians entered one of the settlements, started fighting for another settlement, but that was it," he said. Russia claimed to recaptured 10 settlements only on the day one of their counteroffensive since then.
Kyiv launched its cross-border incursion into Kursk Oblast in early Aug. 6, allegedly seizing around 100 settlements over 1,300 square k/m (500 sq miles). Moscow's troops launched counterattack in effort to dislodge Ukrainian troops from positions on Russian soil.
