The US must have restrained Israel to attack only the military facilities so that the war would not seriously affect the US election.  Expect more serious attacks from Israel if Iran retaliated.  Buy oil counters when that happens.  Oil prices will rise like no tomorrow.

The idea that the US could have any power of restrain over Israel, is as good as saying that the US has 100% control over a ceasefire. 

But Netanyahu rejected a few rounds of ceasefires sponsored by US, and even asssasinated Hamas' chief negotiator. 

So, the Israelis are not restrained by the US or UN. 

Its the Iranians that restrained them. Israeli jets were locked on by Iran's /Russia's air defence, enough to scare them off.
