Not whether China is wise but rather whether CCP is stupid enough to make the move.   CCP leadership has caused China to fell from high level growth before 2008 to present level to match USA because of their pride to offend so many countries.  If they were stupid enough to take the "bait" like Russia had,  they would end up worse with Chinese people eating grass for the rest of their lifes.  The war if started is not between China and USA but China and Taiwan with the support of the western world like Ukraine.
