Scripture readings for Christmas

John. 6 Verses 53 to 56. [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

No, Ishmael is not considered an Israelite. He is the son of Abraham and Hagar, and while he is considered a prophet in Islam, his lineage is separate from that of the Israelites, who are descendants of Abraham through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob (also known as Israel).

In the biblical narrative, while Ishmael is blessed and becomes the father of a great nation (the Ishmaelites), he is not chosen to be the heir of the Abrahamic covenant, which is passed down through his half-brother Isaac. God specifically designates Isaac as the son through whom the covenant promises will be fulfilled

Pink and I were discussing the covenant of circumcision between God and Abraham, which was extended to Abraham's descendants, including Ishmael.

Yes, Ishmael wasn't an Israelite. Neither is Isaac.

I will accept the truth.

When I said the Trinity verse was omitted from many modern Bibles, you said I was lying. Then I showed you proof, and you accepted it. Kudos to you.

I will do the same, accept the truth, if you can show me any truth that I didn't know, with a similar proof.

we can still consult the many Christian authors who lived in the second and third centuries to see how they cited it. Below is a list of a few quotations.

There are quite a few baptisms in the book of Acts. None of them uses that formula as in Matthew 28:19.

If Jesus did command the baptism to be done using that formula, failing to do so would mean the baptism is invalid. But as we read in Acts, they were all done without that formula.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy spirit.

Acts 8:16 For it [the holy spirit] had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 10:47-48 “Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the holy spirit just as we did, can he?” And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

Acts 19:5-6 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the holy spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

We heard it from Bible scholars that the Bible is corrupted. They are not Muslims. So please do not attack us for it. Rebut your scholars if you want.

God's Promise to Abraham:
In Genesis 17:18-20, God informs Abraham that He will bless Ishmael, despite the covenant being established with Isaac.

Don believe all of these because you are told not to believe in corrupted scriptures  Big Grin

What is pathetic is that the Quran has no records of all these info..not even on which son Abraham offered as a sacrifice  Laughing

Is the Quran fully detailed? hats off to it Big Grin

Why is it pathetic? Care to explain?

What is so important for us to know which son was chosen? To us, both Isaac and Ishmael were the sons of Abraham, both of them were great prophets of Allah. We don't exalt one over the other. Both are equally revered by us.

Peace and blessings be upon the prophets mentioned.

Who was peter speaking to...the faithful Jewish people who already had an understanding of God the Father and God’s Spirit!!

The part of the equation they were missing was Jesus, the Son of God—and without Jesus, they could not be saved

The Quran claimed that it is fully detailed. However, readers seeking clarity about which son was sacrificed are left in the dark until the end.

When it comes to the crucifixion, It does not specify the identity of the innocent man made to resemble Jesus on the cross....it doesnt say anything about Allah perform His houdini act...

The Quran withholds this innocent's name and does not provide additional details about this individual. How can the Quran claim authority over previous scriptures when it omits plenty of crucial information?

In the 2nd paragraph, we read:

An ancient version of one book has an extra phrase. Another appears to have been revised to retroactively insert a prophecy after the events happened.

That alone is already a corruption.

Why is it important for us to know which son? The lesson is not about which son, but the obedience of Prophet Abraham pbuh to the commands of God, a lesson which is lost on you since you don't believe in obedience to God's command.

As for the crucifixion, why is it important for us to know exactly what happened? It is sufficient to know that God's beloved messenger was saved.

In the ancient text, when it was written, there wasn't a Trinity verse. A few centuries later, someone added that Trinity verse.

The point is, you said I was lying. Now, you know I wasn't lying. Do you have the grace to say you're sorry for falsely accusing me?
