That old man should stop comparing their religion with ours
Asking for answers that don’t match the truth
No matter what he will taunt that we have no answer
Simple his way is not our way he is clueless
He expects us to answer according to his way
This is using force which is very wrong !

Do you believe the law from God is a curse? Yes, you do believe that.
We believe the law from God is a blessing and a mercy.
I'm not expecting an answer from you on that point. I am merely showing you the difference between your faith and mine.

(04-04-2025, 08:14 AM)Ali Imran Wrote: I am glad to get that honest statement from you. Yes, Christians are followers of Paul. I have often argued with LKSM, who kept saying he follows Jesus, pbuh.
We can agree to disagree on the topic of the Law. I believe the Law, which was sent by God, is a blessing and mercy from God. You believe the Law is a curse sent by God.
I don't consume pork because of God's law, which forbids it. You can consume it because you believe the law is lifted or abolished. Consuming pork is not a sin for you.
As you can see, if there is no law, there is no sin. So why are Christians still arguing about sinning when they believe there is no more law? Btw, is the law against adultery also abolished?
Obedience to the law, which requires work, is not just an Islamic concept. The biblical prophets, including Jesus pbuh also taught the same.
Thank you.
Can anyone keep the law of God perfectly? Since the fall, no mere human has been able to keep the law of God perfectly, but consistently breaks it in thought, word, and deed. We're all born in sin and guilt, corrupt in our nature and unable to keep God's law. The number of things one would have to do to keep the law is staggering. None of us can do it successfully.
In one sense, the law is a curse, but Paul doesn't actually tell anyone to discard the law as you claimed he did. In fact, Paul states that the law teaches and exhorts us to live a life worthy of our Savior. The thing is, if we do good works in hopes of earning our way to heaven, we're saying Christ's sacrificial death was unnecessary and we're telling Him "You died in vain. You shouldn't have died." As such we're not trusting in the perfect and complete work of Christ. The truth is, Jesus removed the law as a requirement for achieving righteousness with God.
Many people assume that people who lived before Christ must have been saved in a different way than those of us who live after Christ: through obedience to God's commands, through religious rituals such as circumcision, or through the offering of animal sacrifices. But Paul went to great lengths to demonstrate that Abraham's works and rituals weren't sufficient to make him right with God. Even the animal sacrifices commanded later under the Mosaic law were powerless to remove the permanent stain of people's sins. "It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." (Heb 10:4)
The animal sacrifices of the OT simply served as constant reminders to the Israelites of their need for a permanent once-and-for-all solution to their sin problem. The sacrificial death of Jesus Christ was God's ultimate solution for man's greatest problem. Ergo, no more sacrifices to be offered year after year to cover over the stain of sin that keeps reappearing. And no more trying to earn God's favor by keeping an impossible list of rules.
Paul explains that faith is an essential ingredient of the Gospel. You're obviously trying to blur the distinction between law and gospel or twist the doctrine of justification by faith alone to support the view that people would be made right with God through their works and not through faith in Christ, and downplay the spiritual rebirth of regeneration

I read in the Gospel of how the parents of Prophet John the Baptist, pbut, were obedient to the law perfectly. Luke 1:6
Anyhow, the idea is not about perfection. The law is about obedience to God. How do you show obedience to God? By obeying his commands, ie. doing what God wants you to do and refraining from what God forbids. Everyday you show obedience to men like our government so why not you show the same or even greater obedience to God?

It is not about earining our way to heaven. It is about obedience to God. You are confusing even yourself. Please clarify. Do you have to obey the law or not?

It is not me who is blurring the picture. Your apologetics is blurry. You cannot clearly tell me if you must obey the law or not. Please clarify. Don't spin it. Just say it clearly.
