The fact that the Quran has textual variants and alterations suggest that it is not well preserved

I am not able to view any images you posted while I'm overseas.
When you say textual variants, do you mean like the NT has textual variants? If so, you're wrong.
The Quran has, for example, a variance in a word in 1:4. The variance being "maalik" and "malik", which means "owner" and "king". But such variance was from the very beginning, at the time of the Prophet, and the variance was from the Prophet. And till today, the variance is preserved, well-preserved.

I don’t believe it!
We have manuscripts from the very beginning. The earliest manuscript of the Quran, which was dated to the time of the Prophet, found in the 21st century, is exactly the same as the Quran we have today. Even though that manuscript is only a few pages, it is 100% accurate.
But the manuscript is not how we know the Quran is preserved. We know the Quran is preserved because we memorized it from the very beginning. This requires a long explanation and if you are really interested, I will take the time to explain it.

I agree with him. But that doesn't mean the Quran is not preserved.
And don't bluff. You have no idea what he is talking about. I know your knowledge about the Quran or its preservation is almost zero. What he said requires you to study a lot before you can understand.

Generally, I understand what he was talking about, but given his line of work, I have zero knowledge....
it's easy to find a transcript of what he said in this video online.

Yes you are right .I also have zero knowledge of the Quran because the Kitab is only revealed in Arabic..Moslems hold that the Quran itself can never truly be translated...
Do you have full knowledge?

We have the Sanaa manuscript containing the complete Quran. It has been dated to within 100 years of the Prophet's time. This manuscript was discovered in 1972.
How accurate is the Sanaa to the Quran we have today? I would say around 99% accurate, because of scribal errors.
So, a complete Quran written down 1,300 years ago is the same Quran as we have today. That is proof that the Quran has indeed been preserved.

Full knowledge of what? The Quran? Nobody has full knowledge of the Quran. God says in the Quran that mankind can never finish studying the Quran.

Reciting the Quran is compulsory at every prayer we do 5 times a day.
Religious class on the Quran, yes, they will be reciting the Quran.

A scribe may make mistakes, but the Hafiz, or even someone like me, would know that the scribe made a mistake, like a spelling mistake.
As for the content of the Quran, there is no mistake.

No, it is not compulsory to memorize the entire Quran but all Muslims must memorize like 0.1% of the Quran.

The recitation can have no mistakes but the book can contain scribble or spelling errors?
