Born in the Shia suburbs of Beirut in 1960, the radical Lebanese cleric oversaw Hezbollah’s transformation into a military force regional sway to fight prominently, arab figures in generations. An strategist, Nasrallah reshaped Hezbollah into an archenemy of Israel, cementing alliances with Shiite religious leaders in Iran & Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas.

Nasrallah became secretary general of Hezbollah in 1992 at just 35, the public face of a once shadowy group founded by Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in 1982 to fight Israel. The first group Iran backed, used as a way to export its brand of political Islam to Arab. Despite power he wielded, Nasrallah lived largely in hiding for fear of an Israeli assassination. Yemen's Houthis say they attacked Israel, US destroyers. Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi militants said on Friday (Sep 27) they had targeted the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon along with three US destroyers in the Red Sea with missiles and drones in support of Gaza and Lebanon.

Israeli attacks have continued across Lebanon on Thursday amid talks of 21-day ceasefire.
On Wednesday, 72 people were killed in the attack across Lebanon as the death toll from Israel’s bombings surpassed 620.

It has also forced about 20% of the population – about 1 million people – from their homes, according to aid agencies and the Lebanese government.
