Here some of major developments of the day:
Five children are among 53 dead from US attack on Yemen, Houthi-run Health Ministry said. The Houthis claimed an attack on US aircraft carrier, USS Harry S Truman, in Red Sea. Houthi leader, Abdel-Malik al-Houthi, said attacks on US shipping would continue.
US said that claimed Houthi attack did not come close to the aircraft carrier. Earlier, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said the US would continue to attack the Houthis until the Yemeni rebel group announces that it will not fire at ships or drones any more.

JERUSALEM: Israeli said targets across Gaza early on Tuesday (Mar 18), ending a wk-long standoff over extending ceasefire halted fighting in Jan, authorities reporting more than 300 dead. Strikes were reported in multiple locations, including northern Gaza, Gaza City & Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis Rafah in central and southern Gaza Strip. Palestinian said many of the dead were children. attacks were far wider in scale than the regular series of drone strikes the Israeli military has said it has conducted against individuals or small groups of suspected militants and follow weeks of failed efforts to agree an extension to the truce agreed on Jan 19.
