Why choose such a tough job to do? Reward/risk ratio is very high if one is not gd at it at all
This research is very interesting. I did the anakysis for more recent data.
There are more short term trading opportunities in HK market than in any other major market in the world
My initial analysis shows that the short term vs kongvterm vokatility relationships are broken when we compare with pure random walk where volatility is proportional to square root rtoot of time.
This means the HSI tends to reverse its short term moves. Creating many tradjng opportunities.

The research published in 2001 and use data from 1994 to 1997, which is b4 HK returned to China. The Basic Security Law must’ve changed all the stock market perceptions. Use it with care.
HSI is too weak to go up and did not break a simple resistance. Look like going down to cover the candlestick gap left uncovered few days ago.
China hk markets very risky and you kena burnt many times still never learned any lesson

Dated research.
For short term trading, the Nasdaq offers the most opportunities and the highest risk-returns.

China NBS Mfg PMI increased slightly in Nov from 50.1 to 50.3 whereas the Non mfg PMI dropped from 50.2 to 50. The composite PMI remained flat. Looks like they can use more stimulus. When US has stimulus in 2020, the PMI jumped from below 50 to 65 in the span of 6 months. So come Monday, we might expect selling pressure except the stimulus rumor from the Economic Work Committee might hold it back.
Aiya china already doomed for 5000 yrs why jobless ermaos everyday still jjyy about china? Got find some jobs to make some money isn’t that better?
Be frank 5 to 10 years is not value investing is more like buy and forget about it
China market like buying at falling knife
Trading Economics did not give a good picture 4 china’s new order, employments, new export orders etc in its most recent report. The report about price declining indicates deflation. So much for 7.5 Trillion yuan stimulus (RRR etc) not including the 10 Trillion yuan debt swap.

I think China economy weakening is a known fact.
Slowing PMI may mean global econkmy slowing...given these depend on global demand.

How long did it take you?
The researchers probably spent at least months to do the calculations? If you did it in days then you're either a genius or hoodwinking us.
China bond yield has fallen below Japan for the first time signaling stagnation.

China will hv to take drastic measures like Japan, dropping the interest rates to negative to save the deflation but unlike Japan, the Government has heavy interest in the banking sectors whose profit will b greatly affected. So this deflation will drag on until it resolves itself one fine day.
