Seriously, no.

The author of Luke wasn't talking about who God is. He was writing about the great event when Mary was visited by the angel with glad tidings. When the author was writing that, the Holy Spirit wasn't God yet. And neither was the one to be born, the son of God. Jesus wasn't God yet at that time.

The Holy Spirit, whom God gives to indwell those who put their whole trust in the Lord Jesus, opens their minds to the truth of God's Word and fills people with a longing or the truth. The Holy Spirit alone can impart holiness, which is necessary in salvation. The natural people, those whose minds have not been enlightened by the Holy Spirit, scoff at us. What we do doesn't always seem logical to them.

He always has a bee in his bonnet about the Christian doctrines. And he lives and breathes debates - with Christians in particular - and can't seem to go without it. The last book of the Bible contains dire warnings for any who might wish to alter the Christian Scriptures. Because of those warnings, Christians would surely not dare to tamper with the Book. And besides, to refuse to accept the revealed deity of Jesus Christ - and the spiritual life God offers us through faith in Him - is to stagnate in a state of spiritual morbidity. To be imprisoned voluntarily in such an existence is to be deliberately blind to the liberating truth that leads to everlasting life.

As for Thomas, what he said could be an exclamation. Why would he even think Jesus is God? He can see Jesus clearly a man. Nobody would even think a man is God.

I know it's difficult to explain the Holy Trinity theology lah, Ali!  You're right to say that a son of God is not God lah! But the Son of God is God the Son, the 2nd Person of the Trinity or Triune God lah! God the Father is the 1st Person and the God the Spirit is the 3rd lah! ALL 3 are 1 God lah!

Even Jesus himself said he is the son of God. Does being called a son of God make one a God?
